We aim to support beekeepers with ways to monitor their findings leading to
non bias information and helpful solutions to help control the Asian hornet
Controlling The Asian HornetThe Asian hornet Vespa velutina is a hornet from south-eastern Asia, and active predator of honey bees and other insects, now widespread in France, Spain, Portugal and Italy. It has recently been detected in the UK and many other parts of Europe.
A strong defence plan is essential to slow the rapid spread of the Asian hornet population. We aim to join knowledge from scientists and beekeepers to provide accurate information and effective solutions to help combat this invasive pest. |
